Independence Grove, Libertyville IL

Just after sunrise at the Independence Grove forest preserve. Beautiful glimmery morning light.

If you look closely you can see a line of people off in the distance in this photo. That's a group of around 50 people who not only made it out here at 6:30AM, but then proceeded to run 26 miles. Pretty darned impressive...

Chalk belongs on Boards

I stumbled upon an old deserted building on campus. Four floors of empty rooms and labs that used to house Physics and Astronomy departments. And all of these beautiful old chalkboards. I hadn't realized how nostalgic I was for chalkboards until now. Some with the writing still on them. Class was dismissed and never came back.

Tulips

Tulips filled the entrance of Trader Joe's earlier this week. And I had to get some ofcourse. So pretty.

Hot Chocolate, Chicago IL

I had been under the impression that Hot Chocolate was just a dessert place. Don't you make the same mistake I did. Turns out they offer a full menu, which I would have sampled much more of if I hadn't just eaten five slices (I'm not even sure that I'm exaggerating) of pizza at Coalfire.

But I did still have room for the warm chocolate souffle with salted caramel ice cream. And if they'd brought out another one, I'd surely have found some room for that too.

The pot of freshly brewed full leaf minty tea. Perfect for the unseasonably cold temperatures of the night.

Elizabeth Williams

Jewelry by Elizabeth Williams
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am a true Midwestern girl, born and raised. I create mainly with oxidized sterling silver wire, pearls, Swarovski crystals, and semi-precious stones. I like to create high-quality pieces with a little bit of the unexpected; the contrast of the dark metal with the pastel beads and stones. I want the jewelry I make to look like it has been treasured, that it has a story to tell.
