Ironman Wisconsin, Madison WI

Talk about an event that makes you feel like you really need to get out there and get some exercise. The Ironman triathletes started at 7:30AM on Sunday morning with a 2.4 mile swim in Lake Monona. They followed that up with a 112 mile bike ride through the hills of Wisconsin. And in case that's not amazing enough, then they ran 26 miles. This is absolutely incredible to me. They are just normal people. Over 2000 of them. With lives and jobs and families. And somehow they are managing to add training for this into their daily routine.

Some of the runners looked incredibly fresh coming through the finish line, like they could've kept going for miles. Others were clearly in pain, each step a struggle. It's hard to say which one was more impressive.
