Donovan Beeson

I love everything in Donovan Beeson's little stationary shop! She re-uses vintage paper items like atlas maps and airmail envelopes to create so many beautiful and functional items. My favorite might be the register stationary, it makes me wish I was on an old ship crossing the ocean, using an inkwell pen to write to friends back home about my adventure...

Kate Funk

Milwaukeean (that's a word, right?) Kate Funk creates these great cards from her Polaroid photos. She also has a hilarious line of cards featuring her cat AC in various settings and costumes. Adding to the humor is that AC is actually short for, you guessed it...Annoying Customer, named after the cat in Clerks. So really there is a lot of awesome stuff going on here. You can even follow Annoying Customer's own blog!

16 Sparrows

I am having a much better day today, thank you. Even in a good mood, I can really appreciate the slightly cynical (and incredibly clever) stationary from the folks over at 16 Sparrows.

Briones and Co.

I'm big into menu planning. Every weekend before the big grocery trip, I sit down and make the list of what to eat for the upcoming week. These handy little meal planner notebooks from Briones and Co. are perfect for people like me! I like the idea of having an ongoing list where I can enter as many meals as I want. I don't have to stop at one week, I can plan out the menu for 8 weeks! Or longer, I'd just have to order a refill of menu planner forms...

Amy Stocklein, Madison WI

Amy Stocklein of amyb13 and luckybeepress
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am a graphic designer and artist from Madison, WI. I have owned and run my own design studio since 1995. In the recent years I have been getting back into printmaking and my fine art roots. I have found that the greeting card market is the perfect venue to marry my skills as a graphic designer with my artistic urges. My greeting cards, stationery, and popular calling cards are all created by hand, one at a time, either by letterpress, silkscreen or relief printmaking. I love playing with color, texture and shape and the smell of ink and feel of paper.

Hollander's : Ann Arbor MI

To call it a stationary store would do it a disservice. Hollander's not only offers an amazing selection of papers, cards, journals, albums and such but also is a great source of supplies for those of you who want to craft such things yourself.

Then there's the "School of Book and Paper Arts" part of Hollander's. They offer all sorts of paper related classes and workshops. Bookbinding, letterpress printing, calligraphy and many more. You can even watch the classes going on while you're shopping in the store!
